Lachey looked down at the phone waiting for a response from Zarah but never got one. Instead, she was blocked from viewing her page.

“Damn it!” Lachey cursed as she paced back and forth in the living room.

She could slowly feel her grip from Ade loosening to no volition of her own. Her reign in his life was ending, and she didn’t know how to stop it.

The last time she thought she was about to lose Ade, she let Zarah know she was pregnant and that moved her out of her way. Lachey thought, if it worked the first time, then why not try it again.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she never heard Ade pulling up like a bat out of hell. Before she could get her thoughts together, he came barreling in the door with a scowl on his face.

“What the fuck is this, Lachey.” He held up the phone in her face and she swallowed hard.

She had plans of deleting it but got too in her feelings about not getting the proper reaction from Zarah.

Lachey’s eyes darted around the room to buy her some time. She was trying to think of a lie that she could tell that would blow this whole thing over. There was always the chance that her pulling that stunt would backfire but there was nothing else that she could do.

She had tried her mother’s advice and tried to plan a trip for them but to be honest the last year she couldn’t get him to touch her. It was her own fault, but she hoped that over time things would change.

“Oh, that… it was just a TBT you know throwback Thursday.” She shrugged and turned to head into the kitchen.

Ade said nothing, but she could hear his heavy footsteps behind her. When a sinister chuckle fell through his lips, she swallowed hard.

“It’s fucking Tuesday.” he growled.

“I know but it came up in my memories and I wanted to post it.” The smile that spread across her face infuriated him.

“Do you think this shit is a game, Lachey? Huh?” Ade asked as he glared at her. Lachey was beautiful but her ways were making her look so unattractive. “I let you get away with a lot of shit but you doing too much.”

“No, I let you get away with a lot of shit!” Lachey yelled back. “You act like I'm not your wife.”

Again, Ade chuckled. “Why are you my wife? Answer that question?”

Lachey stepped back and then turned towards the refrigerator. She wasn’t about to keep having this conversation with him. If he wanted to keep living in the past, then he could live there by himself.

“What you can’t hear now? You want to pretend like this is all on me when we both know it’s not. I don’t even know why I'm still doing this.”

“Because you know what will happen if you don’t.” Lachey’s brows inched up on her forehead as she waited for him to respond. “Don’t play with me Ade, I'll make sure you never see AJ again.
